CD4是一种在正常胸腺细胞、T辅助细胞、大多数成熟外周T细胞以及抑制性或细胞毒性T细胞亚类中表达的跨膜糖蛋白。未在未成熟的胸腺细胞中发现CD4。该抗体有助于鉴别间变性大细胞淋巴瘤、非特定外周T细胞淋巴瘤和肉芽肿病
